Chuze Fitness Programs- A Powerful Impact on the Body & Mind

  • When people are active they are going to see benefits, and when people workout right those benefits will be amplified. Part of working out right is being more consistent throughout the week, and working out at the appropriate intensities. Both of which can be driving factors for members to participate in our GroupX and Team Training Programs.
  • We constantly see the aesthetic benefits with all the physical transformations in all of our clubs of losing body fat and gaining muscle. What we don’t hear so much is the internal changes impacting the overall transformations.
  • When fitness is done right lives are literally saved and transformed.
  • Four major health issues that we are facing and the powerful effects that exercise plays in shielding them.
  • When we mention moderate activity this will correlate to our Cruze pace in Team Training, and when we mention vigorous activity keep in mind that this would correlate to our MORE Pace in Team Training, light would be our Blue Zone.  All zones are also widely used in a multitude of our Group X classes as well, the members just don’t see it.

Coronary Heart Disease

  • 610,000 people die each year from Coronary Heart Disease (CHD)
  • People  that do not workout out are two times as likely to die from heart disease.
  • Individuals who are lightly active at least a 3 hour a week are at 30–40% less risk of CHD than people that do not workout.
  • Those performing vigorous activities four or more times a week have an 80% lower risk of developing CHD than those who rarely workout.

Diabetes

  • In the US, approximately 10.5 million people are diagnosed with diabetes, and almost  5.5 million people are undiagnosed.
  • Regular physical activity (especially when combined with dietary changes) not only lowers the risk of developing diabetes, but also can prevent or reduce related complications
  • Regular exercise may completely prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes
  • 2.5-3 hours minimum, per week, with dietary improvements promotes reductions of 40%–70% in development of  type 2 diabetes to those already at risk, which is more effective than using the prescription drug Metformin.

Depression & Anxiety

  • Depression has been ranked as the leading cause of disability in the United States, with over $40 billion being spent each year on lost work productivity and medical treatments.
  • Anxiety Disorders affect 40 million adults, and are the most common psychiatric illnesses in the U.S.
  • Those who get regular vigorous exercise are 25 percent less likely to develop depression or an anxiety disorder over the next five years.
  • Exercise can potentially treat mild to moderate depression and anxiety as effectively as antidepressant medications and without the side effects.
  • Duke University compared the antidepressant effects of aerobic exercise training to the popular antidepressant medicine Sertraline. They found that after four months, about 40 percent of the people performing exercise were no longer depressed. They exercised at a moderate level – about 40 minutes three to five days each week

Conclusion

  • IHRSA shows us that the number one reason people come to the gym is to legitimately improve their health and well being, not just to workout and hangout.
  • The number one reason people cancel their membership is because they don’t use it.  They don’t use it because they don’t know what they are doing and they don’t feel connected.  Which means they don’t see all these results. But when they see these results they, as we know, then become deeply loyal, and turn into powerful walking testimonies for fitness and for Chuze.
